Withdrawing BTC

LocalCoinSwap provides you with a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet, there are no fees charged by the platform itself to use this wallet. However, you will need to pay the transaction fee required to broadcast the transaction on the Bitcoin network. This fee goes directly to the miners who process and validate the transaction on the network.

Withdrawing ETH and Ethereum-based tokens

All LocalCoinSwap wallets holding Ethereum and ETH-based tokens are non-custodial. Therefore there are no withdrawal limits and the user must pay any associated transaction fees. These transaction fees are called Gas and paid to the miners. The amount of ETH required depends on the gas price which is determined by the network congestion at the time of sending. You can view the current transaction costs on Etherscan here: https://etherscan.io/gastracker. This ETH must be in the same address that you are trying to withdraw from in the case of sending tokens.

Trading Bitcoin

For Bitcoin trades larger than 0.005 BTC, LocalCoinSwap charges a 1% fee to the vendor as usual. However, for trades smaller than 0.005 BTC, LocalCoinSwap charges flat 0.00005 BTC fee to the vendor.

Trading ETH and Ethereum-based tokens

Given the non-custodial nature of Ethereum and ETH-based token trading on LocalCoinSwap, there are some small Gas costs associated with the escrow process for trades. These are small transaction fees paid to the miners in ETH and are an unavoidable part of transacting on the Ethereum blockchain. These fees vary due to the network congestion but are generally relatively small. This ETH must be in the same address that you are trading from in the case of selling tokens.

Trading Litecoin

For Litecoin trades larger than 0.5 LTC, LocalCoinSwap charges a 1% fee to the vendor as usual. However, for trades smaller than 0.5 LTC, LocalCoinSwap charges flat 0.005 LTC fee to the vendor.

Trading TRX

50% savings

Trading TRX requires you to pay for the blockchain fee on the TRON network, which is usually 12 TRX. However, LocalCoinSwap takes care of this fee and charges the vendor only 6 TRX, effectively reducing the blockchain fee cost by 50%.

Trading TRC20 tokens

50% savings

When trading TRC20 tokens on the TRON network, you are required to cover the blockchain fee for the escrow transaction. This fee is typically 55 TRX, equivalent to over $4 USD. However, LocalCoinSwap takes care of this fee on your behalf. Instead, we charge the vendor 2 tokens (2 USDT in the case of USDT-TRC20 trades), effectively reducing the blockchain fee cost by over 50%. This structure also eliminates the need to purchase TRX in order to pay the blockchain fee.
